Stark Glass was rejuvenated by Duane Knight, and his wife Phyllis, after they took over the struggling, 100-year-old business in 1975. Consistent hard work and skill from the Knight family shortly paid dividends, as the glass and glazing business would extend beyond the Massillon city limits. Soon the business would operate in neighboring Canton, Akron, Jackson Township, Perry Township and Cleveland, achievements furthered by successive Knight generations.
To continue a business model rooted in family values and hard work, Duane and Phyllis looked to children Mindy, Tim, Steve and Mike. After college, Mike would assume leadership of the company, intent upon providing Stark Glass Enterprises with a lasting legacy. Together with his wife Jacquie, Mike Knight continues to promote a workplace that values family and community.
